Pastor Ben Monk
Pastor Ben is an Ordained Bishop with the Church of God (Cleveland, TN). He currently serves as the Senior Pastor at Manchester Church of God in Manchester, NH, as the District Overseer for the New Hampshire District, sits on the Regional Council of the Northern New England Church of God, is an Instructor for the Ministerial Internship Program, and also serves as Prayer Coordinator for the Region.
Before coming to Manchester, he pastored Gospel Light Church of God in Concord, NH for almost four years. While in Concord, he served on the board of the Open Hands Resource Center.
While an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God he pastored Springfield Assembly of God in Springfield, VT for almost six years. In Springfield, he was one of the co-founders and developers of the Springfield Vermont Warming Shelter (SVWS), where he served as the board's first chair. SVWS is a night warming shelter for the homeless. He served as the Faith Representative for Re-Entry, a panel of state and local agencies that review, discuss, and assist in transitioning prison inmates back into society. He was Chair of the Association of Springfield Area Churches (ASAC). ASAC is a group of local churches of various denominations in the Springfield, VT area that partner together to provide benevolence and human interest projects for the community.
Pastor Ben, a NH native, started his ministry as the Associate Pastor and Youth Pastor at the Church of God in Manchester, NH specializing in youth and young adult ministries. He has preached in various churches throughout Northern New England and served on the Pastors Council at New Beginnings Assembly of God, an inter-city church formerly located in Manchester, NH. Other ministry experience includes; working with Teen Challenge as the lead of Family Ministries as a counselor to the families of students who are going through the program. He also served as a volunteer at the Greater Falls Warming Shelter located in Bellows Falls, VT, and served on the Board of Directors for Shekinah House in Machias, ME as Vice Chairman.
Pastor Ben’s burden is for Manchester and surrounding communities to experience the love of Jesus Christ and for there to be a fresh move of the Holy Spirit that transforms the whole community into full restoration, renewal, and revival!
Pastor Lizz Monk
Pastor Lizz, is an Ordained Minister with the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) and serves as the Associate Pastor, helpmate, and partner with her husband, Pastor Ben, in ministry at Manchester Church of God in Manchester, NH. She has served on the Youth Board for the Northern New England Church of God and currently serves on the Women's Board for the Northern New England Church of God.
As a working full-time Master Barber, for over thirty years, she conducts outreaches called “Cuts for Christ,” giving free haircuts to people in need. She regularly volunteers her time to cut hair at 1269 Café, a day shelter located in Manchester, NH.
Before coming to Manchester Church of God Pastor Lizz served with her husband at both Gospel Light Church of God in Concord, NH and Springfield Assembly of God in Springfield, VT. While at Gospel Light she started a Youth Ministry from scratch and she served as Treasurer at Open Hands Resource Center on the Board of Directors.
While in Springfield, VT, Pastor Lizz served as Youth Leader where she started both a youth and children’s ministry and was head of the Women’s Ministry at Springfield Assembly of God. She was one of the co-founders and assisted with developing and starting Springfield Vermont Warming Shelter and served as the Financial Campaign Vice-Chair on the Board of Directors.
She started in ministry with Pastor Ben working with youth and young adults at Manchester Church of God. Other ministry experience includes working with Teen Challenge as co-lead of Family Ministries as a counselor to the families of students who are going through the program. She served as a volunteer at the Greater Falls Warming Shelter located in Bellows Falls, VT and served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Shekinah House in Machias, ME.
Lizz is a New England native and is burdened to share the love of Jesus Christ with people in need and to help restore, healing and recovery through the love of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit to people in addiction.
