Galatians 2:20 (NKJV)

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

How do you identify?

As a disciple of Jesus Christ, we need to be determined and steadfast to be like Him.  Galatians 2:20 tells us that we need to be crucified in Him.  To abandon the flesh and to live the life of Christ who now lives in us!   It also tells us that we need to live by faith in the Son of God who died for us and gave Himself in our place.

To identify with Jesus Christ means that we no longer live as we used to live, but that we live in the victory and the power of God.  Relying on Him to supply all of our needs, abandon our past, and live as overcomers in Him, because He has overcome!  (1 John 4:4)

We are no longer slaves to our past or our sins, we are now free.  Who the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:31-36)!  We are no longer bound to sin and death.  The chains are gone! 

We need to stop living like we are bound by the chains that once defined us.  We need to stop listening to the lies of the devil telling us that we are not worthy. We are worthy.  Not because of us, but because Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again three days later conquering hell and the grave!  He paid the price in full. We are new creatures and we have been set free! (2 Corinthians 5:12-21)

We have the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwelling in us (Romans 8:11)!  We are equipped and have all that we need.  We have the power in the name of Jesus and demons need to flee and mountains will move!

It’s time for God’s church to be revived and live in the victory He has called us to.  It’s time to be the bride without spot or blemish.  The glorious church that one day the Lord will call home to be with Him!  We need to be seeking revival, “Will You not revive us again, That Your people may rejoice in You?” (Psalm 85:6)

If you have read this whole thing and you didn’t know this or you did know this but have walked away from God and are ready to return.  It’s time to accept Jesus Christ today, right now!  Romans 10:9-10 (NKJV) says “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.”

It’s time to live in victory!
